Social commentator and former coach of Asante Kotoko football club,  Opeele Boateng has admonished the largest opposition party in Ghana—the National Democratic Congress to discard their “motor bicycle” policy, because that is not what Ghanaian youth need.

Following H.E Vice President Mahamadu Bawumia’s Town Hall meeting and the ruling New Patriotic Party’s (NPP )manifesto launch on Saturday, the NDC has launched missiles of rebuttal against the NPP.

In one of their onslaughts, NDC mentioned their policy of legalizing commercial operation of motor bicycles popularly called ‘Okada” when they come into power, and making them available in the country to serve as a means of employment for the youth of Ghana.

Sharing his view on the NDC’s ‘Okada’ policy on Hot 93.9 FM’s ‘Dwene ho biom’ political talk show hosted by Chairman KK, Opeele Boateng indicated that, “Ghanaian Youth do not need “Okada; they need productivity—industrialization”.

“So I expect them to say that even though you have made factories, we are going to build a thousand factories, and they will get the people’s support” he added.

The NDC manifesto launch is set to happen on August 31, 2020 in Accra.
