Police Recover American Rapper Meek Mill’s PickPocketed Phone, Suspect In Custody

The Police have arrested one suspect and retrieved a mobile phone that was pickpocketed from Meek Mill, an American hip-hop artist during his stay in the country to perform at the 2022 Afronation.

On Thursday (December 29), Meek took to his Instagram Stories with a message stating someone had “pickpocketed” his phone and he wanted it back. The Dream Chasers boss shared several videos on his IG Stories of him out and about with Ghanaians while on his way to the festival.

According to a post sighted by Hotfmghana on the Ghana Police Facebook page, the suspect Nuhu Sule alias Ababaawa was arrested Friday, December 30, 2022, at his hideout in Accra. He is currently in Police custody and will be taken through the due process of the law.

The victim, Meek Mill, reported his phone stolen in Accra on December 29, 2022. However, the Philadelphia superstar has stated that he needed an artist from Ghana on Dream Chasers.

”I need a artist from Ghana on dream chasers”…. the musician stated on his Twitter Page.

Also, African dancehall king, Shatta Wale, has also claimed that his recent Tweet for the rapper’s phone to be returned has been harmonised.

”So my tweet about Meeks phone helped, they took it back …clap for the streetz…. the artiste also stated on Twitter.

Social Media users have commended Ghana Police Service for its diligent and integral services, especially this festive season.
