A 43-year-old man electrocuted at Boadi in the Oforikrom Municipality of the Ashanti Region has died.
The victim, a cabbage farmer, lost his life after he came into contact with a live wire on his way to the farm on Monday, September 26, 2022.
An Assembly Member for the Electoral Area, Hon Kenneth Owusu Bediako, said that the deceased died on the spot after touching the naked wire.
The body of the victim burnt to death. Also, one of his hands disfigured in the process, and parts of his body almost turned to ashes.
He stated, “we suspect the wire to have fallen during the torrential rainfall in the area”.
The deceased left two wives and five children behind.
His body has been conveyed to the Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital by police in the area.
