The hairstylist for the Black Stars, Abiba has reacted to accusation levelled against her by the chief drummer for the Black Stars Joseph Langabel over the team’s exit from the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
In a Facebook video, Langabel alleged that Abiba who visited the Black Stars hotel to work on the players hairstyles caused the defeat against Uruguay.
Langabel emphasised that Abiba is associated with bad luck which influences Ghana’s defeats in major tournaments anytime “the lady comes around”.
The popular national football team supporter alleged that he questioned the Black Stars team manager why the said lady Abiba was allowed again when he saw her climbing into the hotel room with Salisu in Qatar a day before the fixture with Uruguay
Langabel’s allegation has created elephantine controversy in the public domain -especially on Social Media.
Reacting to this in a telephone conversation with Reagan Mends, a journalist at Hot 93.9FM, Abiba said
“Yes, I have heard the news that Langabel is saying I am the cause of Ghana’s exit from the World Cup…but Reagan, I wouldn’t want to say anything for now because I am still in Qatar; for now leave them, let them say whatever they want —- I leave everything to God”.
Abiba is the CEO of Abibalocks . She has been working as the personal hairstylist for the Black Stars’ players for more than a decade now.
