Parliament will today decide the fate of its member, Sarah Adwoa Safo.
The House will decide on whether her seat should be declared vacant or otherwise.
This follows the laying of the Privileges Committee’s report on her absence in Parliament and her two other colleagues.
The report by majority decision recommended her seat to be declared vacant.
This was after the committee failed to achieve a consensus in its recommendations on whether absenting herself for more than the mandatory 15 days without permission warrants her seat being declared vacant.
The Minority MPs on the committee argued that once she has not been heard, a decision cannot be taken on her.
However, according to sources, the Speaker will give a verdict on the matter before the house rises today.
