Ghanaian gospel artiste, Isaiah Kwadwo Ampong, known by all as Great Ampong, has referred to Christians as bad people.
According to him, one of the people who really supported him in his music career was Alhaji Banda, a Muslim. Although Great Ampong is a devoted Christian and even slept in a church for 9 years, no Christian ever helped him.
Speaking to Rev. Nyansa Boakwa on Happy 98.9FM’s ‘Nsem Pii’ show, Great Ampong said, “I slept in church for 9 years because I was homeless and wasn’t working. I even used to clean and sometimes sing during events, but no one in the church ever invited me home to eat or even gave me money for food. Christians are wicked.”
He disclosed that there were times when he and his brothers had to eat only gari soaked in water because that was all they had.
“These are some of the things which make Christianity difficult. The first man to ever give me Ghc 300.00 in 2003 was Alhaji Banda. He gave me that money the first time we met and he did so without me asking him,” he explained.
He concluded that based on his experiences, he will always consider Muslims as kind and givers as compared to Christians.
