National Democratic Congress (NDC) Chairman, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has assured party members and supporters that next year’s Prof. John Evans Fiifi Atta Mills memorial will be a grand event, also serving as a day of accountability for those he termed “pretenders.”
He emphasized that the late Prof. Atta-Mills’ administration was dedicated to completing ongoing projects left by predecessors, a legacy he believes the current government has neglected.
Speaking at the 12th wreath-laying ceremony at Asomdwee Park, Asiedu Nketia highlighted that many of the economic challenges facing Ghanaians today could have been avoided if they had followed the late president’s principles.
He criticized the current administration for abandoning projects initiated by previous governments, leading to wasted investments and resources.
Asiedu Nketia reiterated the NDC’s commitment to completing beneficial projects if voted into power in 2025. He stressed that the party would continue the legacy of accountability and development left by Prof. Atta-Mills.
Araba Quarshie, the late president’s sister, also spoke at the event, praising her late brother’s dedication to accountability, development, and statesmanship. She fondly remembered him as a true leader committed to Ghana’s progress.
