The General Manager of division one league club Okwahu United and former Asante Kotoko supporters’ chief, Nana Kwame Dankwah, has advised Accra Hearts of Oak and Black Stars goalkeeper Benjamin Asare to consider a move to Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
Benjamin Asare has firmly established himself as the first-choice goalkeeper for the Black Stars, following a remarkable debut with the national team in March.
The goalkeeper’s impressive performances in the recent FIFA World Cup qualifiers have propelled him to stardom.
Speaking as a panelist on the Hot Focal Sports show – hosted by Ebenezer Amuzu[Sportstiger] on Hot 93.9 FM, Nana Kwame Dankwah passionately argued that joining Kumasi Asante Kotoko would be in Benjamin Asare’s best interest.
According to Nana Kwame, “It would truly benefit him [Benjamin Asare] if he joined Kotoko…Hearts will not aid his progress.”
Benjamin Asare was named the Man of the Match in Hearts’ GPL match against Medeama FC on Sunday, April 6, 2025.
The match ended one-nil in favour of the former African champions
