Bono East Regional Minister, Kwasi Adu-Gyan, has expressed his appreciation to the government for choosing Bono East as the host for the 2024 edition of the National Festival of Arts and Culture (NAFAC).
He assured that the region is poised to deliver a memorable celebration during the main event, scheduled to take place in Techiman from Friday, October 25th to Thursday, October 31st, 2024.
Adu-Gyan highlighted the festival’s significance, noting that it gathers creatives, cultural practitioners, diplomats, scholars, business leaders, and traditional and local government authorities from all sixteen regions of Ghana.
This convergence aims to celebrate and showcase their artistic and cultural works, fostering unity and cultural appreciation across the nation.
Pimampim Yaw Kabresse V, the President of the Bono East Regional House of Chiefs and Omanhene of Yeji Traditional Area, who chaired the function, reaffirmed the chiefs’ commitment to this year’s NAFAC. He called on all chiefs, queen mothers, and residents of the region, as well as the entire nation, to mobilize and prepare to bring their rich cultural heritage to Techiman for the festival.
As the region gears up for NAFAC 2024, there is a palpable sense of excitement and anticipation. The festival promises not only to be a vibrant display of Ghana’s diverse cultural tapestry but also an opportunity for various stakeholders to connect, collaborate, and celebrate their shared heritage.
