The Concerned Drivers Association of Ghana (C-DAG) has announced plans to reduce transport fares in the coming weeks following John Dramani Mahama’s victory in the December 7 general elections.
John Dramani Mahama won the election with a significant margin, ending the NPP’s hopes of breaking the eight-year political cycle. His win has sparked optimism among members of C-DAG, who have frequently complained about economic hardships.
The association previously threatened to increase transport fares due to the rising cost of fuel and spare parts. However, they now believe that the local currency is stabilizing, attributing this improvement to the NDC’s electoral success.
Paa Willie, a leading member of C-DAG, shared this development during an interview on the AYEHU Show with Wofa Asamoah on Hot FM, expressing hope for better economic conditions under the incoming administration.
