The Member of Parliament for Garu, Hon. Dr. Thomas Anaba, has expressed strong confidence in the Mahama-led administration, praising its performance just seven months into office.
Dr. Anaba highlighted gains in healthcare delivery, economic stability, job creation, and the fight against corruption as evidence that the government is on the right track.
Speaking to the press, Dr. Anaba emphasized improvements in the health sector, particularly the removal of the cap on the National Health Insurance Scheme and prompt payment of arrears to hospitals.
“This has ensured that hospitals have sufficient resources to operate effectively and provide quality healthcare to Ghanaians,” he noted.
He also praised the government’s approach to economic management and infrastructure development. According to him, initiatives such as the recruitment of nurses, the establishment of youth employment agencies, and the completion of inherited projects signal a clear commitment to national development.
“The government has initiated programs to employ more nurses, set up youth entities, and complete projects left behind by previous administrations,” Dr. Anaba said.
On governance, the Garu MP commended ongoing anti-corruption actions, including investigations into high-profile cases involving past officials.
“The government’s commitment to transparency and accountability is evident in its actions,” he added. “We are excited about the direction of the country, and we believe that the government will continue to work tirelessly to address the challenges facing our nation.”
