The Ghana Deaf Sports Federation officially launches their participation in the Deaflympics games which is scheduled from 1-15 May in Brazil.
Mr Kinsley Ansah, the vice prez – Ghana Deaf Sports Federation(GDSF) , highlighted the need to join hands in raising the standards of the deaf sports.
” The Ghana Deaf Sports Federation has groomed many talents with respect to sports, be it volleyball, football, taekwondo and athletics but lacks the support”,he added. He therefore urged corporate organizations and the media to help promote them.
ASA Plus Destinations, being the official conveyer of the contingent who would be representing Ghana at the Deaflympics had their General Manager Mr Abraham Sarbeng believe its time to support the Ghana Deaf Sports Federation to higher heights.
“Deaf isn’t a disability and persons who are sound impaired can still exploit it”, he added . He therefore expressed his pleasure to partner the Ghana Deaf Sports Federation.
