The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced that the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League will kick off on September 6, exactly 82 days after the conclusion of the 2023/24 season.
The GFA has also set crucial deadlines for the upcoming season. Clubs are required to submit their strips by August 15 and squad lists by August 17.
These deadlines apply to teams in the Women’s Premier League and the Division One League (DOL) as well.
Reigning champions FC Samartex will defend their title against 17 other clubs, having secured the championship last season by surpassing challengers Accra Lions.
Newly promoted teams Young Apostles, Basake Holy Stars, and Vision FC will join the league, replacing relegated Great Olympics, Bofoakwa Tano, and Real Tamale United.
Additionally, FC Samartex and Nsoatreman FC will represent Ghana in the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup next season.
