Today, July 20th, 2024, Ghana will experience a variety of weather conditions, including rain and thunderstorms across different regions. Here is the detailed forecast:

Southern Ghana: Accra and surrounding areas will have intermittent rain showers throughout the day, with temperatures ranging from 23°C to 27°C. Similar weather is expected in Ada, Akim Oda, Akuse, and Axim, with light to moderate rain and temperatures in the mid-20s Celsius.

Northern Ghana: In the northern regions, including Tamale, Bolgatanga, and Wa, thunderstorms are anticipated. These storms could disrupt daily activities and travel. Residents are advised to remain indoors during heavy downpours and be cautious of potential flooding and lightning.

Central Ghana: Kumasi and Sunyani will experience light to moderate rain showers. Daytime temperatures will hover around 29°C, dropping to 22°C at night. This rainfall is expected to provide some relief from the tropical heat.

Western Coastal Areas: Takoradi and other coastal regions will see light rain with temperatures between 23°C and 28°C. The cooler weather will be a respite from the usual heat, though residents should be prepared for wet conditions.

Eastern Ghana: Koforidua and Ho will experience scattered thunderstorms, with temperatures ranging from 24°C to 28°C. The rain might cause temporary disruptions, so planning ahead is advised.

“Ghana is witnessing typical rainy season weather, with varying intensities of rain and thunderstorms across the country,” stated a meteorologist from the Ghana Meteorological Agency. “We encourage everyone to stay informed with real-time weather updates for any sudden changes.”

For the latest weather updates and detailed forecasts, please refer to weather apps and the Ghana Meteorological Agency’s website. Stay safe and take necessary precautions during this rainy season.
