The Ghana Table Tennis Association (GTTA) will stage another edition of the Sheroes Women’s Table Tennis Tournament on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at the DG Hathiramani Sports Hall, with Ghana’s top female players set to compete for honours and national team consideration.
The upcoming tournament follows a highly competitive previous edition that produced thrilling encounters and dramatic finishes, highlighting the steady growth and competitiveness of women’s table tennis in the country.
Defending champion Augustina Baidoo is expected to be a major attraction after winning the Sheroes title in the last two editions. Her dramatic comeback victory in the most recent final has set a high standard, but she is expected to face stiff competition from a determined field of challengers.
Players including Eva Adom-Amankwaa, Cynthia Kwabi, Joanita Borteye, and Agbottah Hilda, who all impressed in the previous tournament, are anticipated to return stronger as they seek to end Baidoo’s dominance and stake their own claim to the title.
Beyond the quest for silverware, the Sheroes Tournament continues to play a vital technical role. The competition provides the national technical team with a valuable platform to observe, assess, and select female players as Ghana prepares for upcoming international assignments, including the World Table Tennis Championships in London.
Saturday’s event at the DG Hathiramani Sports Hall is expected to deliver another exciting showcase of skill, resilience, and opportunity, as the Sheroes Tournament continues to advance the development of women’s table tennis in Ghana.
