Controversial Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has shared the motivation behind his transition from Christian ministry to traditional worship.
In 2023, the polygamist announced his divine calling and plans to start his ministry. However, he recently revealed that he felt incomplete while preaching the gospel.
According to Edochie, he experienced a spiritual void and sought divine direction, which led him to embrace his ancestral roots in Nteje.
“I felt incomplete. Then God said to me, ‘Go home and know about your people. You cannot be preaching about the people of Israel, yet you know nothing about the people of Nteje. Go home and learn the traditional worship and ways of your people, for they’re approved by God,’” he explained.
He emphasized that his decision was not a rejection of Christianity but rather a realization that traditional worship is also approved by God.
Edochie also disclosed that since embracing this path, he now feels whole and spiritually fulfilled.
