Plans are well underway for the Tema Oil Refinery (TOR) to secure a strategic partner within the next 90 days to restart full operations.
The Minister of State for the Ministry of Energy, Herbert Krapa, has assured that the government, through the Ministry and its agencies, will oversee and protect the partnership process to ensure it serves the nation’s best interests.
TOR has faced inefficiencies for some time, prompting the government’s decision to seek an investor to rejuvenate the company.
Recognizing the refinery’s crucial role in the energy sector, the government aims to restore its operational efficiency and output.
Minister Krapa recently toured the refinery to gain a better understanding of its current operations and challenges.
He emphasized the government’s dedication to providing TOR with the necessary capital and technology to fulfill its core mandate effectively.
This initiative highlights the government’s commitment to revitalizing the refinery, ensuring it can meet the country’s energy demands and contribute to the overall economic development.
