The management of Groupe Nduom, led by Chairman Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom, has initiated meetings with presidential aspirants to seek support for the reinstatement of GN Savings and Loans’ license.

On Tuesday, the team met with independent candidates Nana Kwame Bediako, also known as Cheddar or Freedom Jacob Caesar, and Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen of the Movement for Change.

During these meetings, the senior management of Groupe Nduom presented a two-page petition, urging the aspirants to back the restoration of GN Savings’ license if they win the December 7 presidential election.

Dr. Nduom emphasized the importance of supporting indigenous Ghanaian businesses for economic growth and highlighted GN Bank’s role in financial inclusion and job creation.

At the meeting with Alan Kyerematen, he acknowledged Dr. Nduom’s contributions to job creation in Ghana. Kyerematen assured his support for the reinstatement of the license, describing the revocation as a policy failure and emphasizing the need for technical and financial support instead of license withdrawal.

Dr. Nduom noted that despite meeting the Bank of Ghana’s requirements, including changing the name and downsizing, the GN Savings license was unexpectedly revoked. He stressed that future presidents should address this issue, ensuring the bank’s revival if the current administration does not resolve it.
