A group of Zoomlion workers in the Greater Accra Region have voiced their frustration and anger over the mistreatment they have endured, claiming they have not been paid their salaries for up to two years.
Some of the workers reported that they haven’t received payment for at least a year, despite their relentless efforts to wake up early each day to clean the city.
The aggrieved workers are demanding the immediate payment of their overdue salaries, which they describe as meager, with some earning as little as GH₵250 per month.
They find it unacceptable that even this modest amount cannot be paid on time, especially given the crucial work they do to maintain the city’s cleanliness.
During an appearance on the AYEHU Show with Wofa Asamoah, the workers expressed their discontent and shared their experiences of hardship.
They are calling for urgent action to address the long-standing issue of unpaid wages and improve their working conditions.
