Hon Kwadwo Boateng Agyemang,New Patriotic Party(NPP) Chairman for New Juabeng North constituency has called former President John Mahama and the National Democratic Congress ‘sakawa’people.
Following Hon Isaac Adongo’s comment that referred to President Akufo-Addo and the ruling New Patriotic Party as “Akyem Sakawa Boys’, which was later on shared on the ex- President’s twitter handle, responses from the public suggest that the comment was erroneous and provoking, and should not be tolerated.
Speaking as a guest on Hot 93.9 FM’s ‘Dwene ho biom’ political talk show hosted by Chairman KK Asamoah, Hon Kwadwo Boateng said in retortion , “NDC is a sakawa party, led by former president John Mahama, who is a chief sakawa.”
According to Mr Kwadwo Boateng, the NDC and their Presidential candidate do not own the right to talk about corruption, due to their already existing records of corruption.
The NPP Stalwart alluded to the Precious Minerals Marketing Corporation which was used as a tool to scam Ghanaians by H.E John Mahama and his government.
Others he talked about were issues concerning “insurance”; the Saglemi 5000 affordable housing project which involved 200 million USD but never happened; and a few others.
“NDC is a sakawa party, period and Mahama is the Chief Sakawa” he said, reiterating his opinion.
