Well-versed entertainment journalist and former manager of iconic Ghanaian traditional artiste Sherifa Gunu has vehemently rejected a claim made by controversial artiste manager Lawrence Asiamah Hanson, better known as Bulldog.
During an appearance on UTV’s United Showbiz show on Saturday, January 18, 2025, Bulldog asserted that every male artiste manager has engaged in amorous relationships with their female artistes.
He made this provocative statement while commenting on the ongoing feud between Mr. Logic and his artiste, Mo Spence.
In a Facebook post, Reagan Mends strongly refuted Bulldog’s claim, stating, “As the former manager of the highly successful female traditional artiste, Sherifa Gunu, I find this accusation malicious and unfounded.”
He emphasized that his professional relationship with Sherifa Gunu remained strictly business-oriented, despite having witnessed her breastfeeding during his tenure as her manager.
According to him, he considers Sherifa Gunu, alongside other legendary musicians like King Ayisoba and Shatta Wale, who were mentored by the late Hiplife/Dancehall legend Terry Bonchaka (whom he also managed), as part of his professional family.
Despite the gravity of Bulldog’s accusation, Reagan Mends expressed his willingness to forgive him. He revealed that Shatta Wale’s mother, Madam Elsie Avemegah, had informed him of Bulldog’s respectful conduct towards her during his time as the “On God” hitmaker’s manager.
This, he stated, was the reason for his decision to forgive Bulldog.
Reagan Mends urged the Bullhaus boss to publicly retract his claim, either on the same United Showbiz platform or any other suitable platform.
