The former Deputy General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Obiri Boahen has stated candidly that he is scared to share his view on how the Majority caucus in Parliament have petitioned President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to sack the Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta and the Minister of State in the Finance Ministry.
The majority caucus in parliament on Tuesday, October 25,2022 called on the President to compel the Finance Minister and the Minister of State in the Finance Ministry, to resign.
The they also threatened to boycott the reading of the 2023 budget statement in Parliament if the President fails to comply with their demand.
According to them, the move follows previous concerns sent to the government that have not yielded any positive results.
Reacting to this in an interview on Hot 93.9FM’s ‘Dwene Ho Biom” political talk show hosted by Agya Wusu, former Deputy General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Obiri Boahen stated that he is scared to share his views.
“I Can’t comment on this…this is a very serious issue…this is the first time such a thing has happened…I can’t express my view…I’m scared to share my view…Please , let me be; I have not heard anything”.
