Effective immediately, the Kaneshie District Court, located at the heart of Adabraka, is now officially the Adabraka District Court.
This renaming was approved by the Judicial Council during its 285th meeting on June 26, 2024.
The court is situated near the University of Ghana City Campus and close to the AirtelTigo headquarters.
A memo dated July 18, 2024, and signed by the Judicial Secretary, confirmed the name change, effective from June 26, 2024, according to the Lawplatform reports.
This memo was addressed to the Directors and Regional Administrative Officers of the Judicial Service.
Although the reasons for the name change were not disclosed in the memo, it is noted that the new name aligns with the court’s actual geographical location in Adabraka rather than Kaneshie.
