The Kwahu-Hemaa, Nana Adwoa Gyemfuah III, has urged Consolidated Bank Ghana (CBG) to enhance its efforts in supporting small businesses across the country.
Speaking at the commissioning of CBG’s new ultramodern branch in Kwahu Mpreaso, she emphasized the importance of collaboration between the bank and the local community to foster economic growth.
Nana Adwoa Gyemfuah III encouraged residents, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and market women, to leverage CBG’s banking services to grow their businesses. She called on the bank to expand its operations within the Kwahu Traditional Area and actively engage with the community to ensure its financial products meet the unique needs of local businesses.
On his part, Mr. Joseph Opoku, General Manager of CBG Consumer Banking, highlighted the significance of the new branch, which brings the bank’s presence in the Kwahu Traditional Area to three, with branches in Kwahu Abetifi, Nkawkaw, and now Kwahu Mpreaso. He noted that this expansion reflects CBG’s commitment to catering to the banking needs of the people in the region.
The event marked a step forward in bridging financial gaps and empowering small businesses in the Eastern Region.
Both the Kwahu-Hemaa and Mr. Opoku expressed optimism that the new branch would serve as a catalyst for economic growth, particularly for the SMEs in Kwahu and its environs.
