The Ghanaian film industry has witnessed a consequential milestone as Kwadwo Nkansah “LilWin’s” ambitious project, “A Country Called Ghana,” has secured an international streaming distribution deal.

In a post on Facebook, the director of the movie Frank Fiifi Gharbin broke the news by indicating,”I am glad to announce that LilWin’s movie, ‘A Country Called Ghana,’ has been picked up by a renowned international streaming distribution company,”.

“My work on ‘A Country Called Ghana’ has officially concluded. This movie has been both a blessing and a lesson. We have made history with this film, and while we encountered some mistakes along the way, we hope to learn from them. Don’t be surprised to see ‘A Country Called Ghana’ on Netflix, Amazon Prime, airlines, and other major streaming platforms.” He added

This achievement marks a pivotal moment for the movie, which has already garnered considerable acclaim.

“A Country Called Ghana” has been making waves on the international film festival circuit, receiving nominations and awards at prestigious events like the Imo International Film Festival and also gaining recognition at the Black Star International Film Festival.

This international attention played a crucial role in attracting the interest of streaming platforms.

LilWin’s expressed goal of getting his movie onto major streaming platforms such as Netflix, has been a driving force behind his hard work. His focus on creating a high-quality film has paid off.

The movie has gained streaming distribution, broadening the film’s audience to a global scale.

Prior to the streaming deal, “A Country Called Ghana” achieved success in cinemas, both in Ghana and Nigeria, through Silverbird Cinemas. This success further validated the film’s appeal.

The cinema runs helped to build the movie’s popularity and generate the buzz needed for streaming services to take notice. This deal is seen as a major boost for the Ghanaian film industry, demonstrating its potential to reach a global audience.

LilWin’s dedication to quality production and promotion has set a new standard for Ghanaian filmmakers.

The movie features celebrated Ghanaian and Nigerian actors including Ramzey Nouah, Charles Awurum, Victor Osuagwu (famously known as Awilo Sharp Sharp), Paa George, and Sweet Mimi
