The Member of Parliament for Amasaman Constituency, Sedem Kweku Afenyo, has announced that major road projects will be undertaken in the constituency in 2026 to address the poor road network.
According to the MP, roads including Katapor, Mayera–Adusah to Osono Dompe, Three Junction, as well as other major roads within Amasaman, are expected to undergo significant improvement as part of the planned road development.
Afenyo noted that his first year in Parliament has not been easy for both himself and the NDC government but expressed optimism that things will improve in 2026 under the leadership and experience of President John Dramani Mahama.
He made the remarks during an interview with Angel News, where he also used the opportunity to wish Ghanaians, especially residents of Amasaman, a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
The MP further urged commercial motor riders, popularly known as “Okada” riders, to ride with caution, noting that the NDC government has fulfilled its promise by passing the Okada legislation bill.
