The Foreign Affairs Ministry has assured the public that it is working on a solution to the passport shortage in the country.
In an interview with Shirley Ayokor Botchwey on Joy Midday news, the Minister stated that the backlog could be cleared before the middle of October 2022.
According to the minister, by the end of this October, there would be more passport booklets in stock for prospective passport applicants till the end of the next quarter year.
“Some go back many months and I wanted to see this for myself and I have seen it and we will make sure that as soon as the booklet comes, we will work day and night to print all the backlog, clear the backlog so that those who want to travel can do so,” she said.
