In a show of solidarity, the General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Justin Kodua Frimpong, visited Richard Ahiagbah, the party’s Communications Director, at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) today.
Ahiagbah, who was involved in a serious accident while en route to Kumasi for a party program, is reportedly in a stable condition and responding positively to treatment.
Kodua’s visit underscores the party’s unity and the importance they place on the well-being of their members.
Kodua expressed the party’s deep appreciation for the outpouring of support from Ghanaians.
“The NPP extends its heartfelt gratitude to all well-meaning Ghanaians for their overwhelming love and well-wishes,” he stated.
He also reiterated the doctors’ advice to limit visits to ensure Ahiagbah gets sufficient rest during his recovery.
The accident, which reportedly occurred around 1:30 am on the Kumasi-Accra highway near Konongo, left Ahiagbah with severe injuries.
Eyewitnesses suspect that Ahiagbah fell asleep at the wheel, leading to a collision with an articulated truck.
The crash significantly damaged his vehicle, and Ahiagbah was rushed to KATH for emergency treatment. Despite the critical nature of his injuries, reports indicate that Ahiagbah is steadily improving.
