NPP Polls: Choose Bryan Acheampong to create jobs – Fmr MP tells delegates

Former Member of Parliament for Anyaa Sowutoum. Dr. Adomako Kissi has appealed to delegates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to vote for former Agric Minister Dr Bruan Acheampong to become the flagbearer.

Dr Adomako Kissi makes the point that Dr. Bryan Acheampong offers steady work in the future, jobs for the youth, job security, infrastructure improvement and food security.

“The other options are not favourable, we have been served with loss of wages, loss of benefits in government, loss of dignity or hope for the future and loss of discipline in the party. With Dr. Bryan Acheampong, we are assured of a return to government/Jubilee house, and many people will have worthwhile jobs to do.

“A departure from the status quo is very needed. A major shift will help us win and win big in the general elections. It will show that we have done our homework well, we have listened to Ghanaians and have made the needed corrections,” he wrote in a statement.

Dr. Adomako Kissi Writes

My passionate support for Dr. Bryan Acheampong was inspired by the belief that he represents change rather than those who will perpetuate the current status quo. People who are disillusioned by the failure of the many promises, are now attending to meetings for Bryan Acheampong who offers practical solutions to our problems.

He will fulfil his grand promises and remedy our current situation looking at his proposals to deal directly with grassroot and the personal choices he has made in his business life, private life and political life. He is likely to win the 2028 election because of the way and manner he sustained his region in the past elections. Though the NPP abandoned the real concerns for the working people in the party and country, we are assured of a different approach. Dr. Bryan Acheampong will build the party from ground up and restore the party to the grass root owners.

People will feel liberated and not be made to take decisions under duress. With him the ordinary people will get a voice, he will cater to the grieving youth who have lost both power and job opportunities, he will attend to the many people who were undermined during the past years.

Two big elephants within the party have fostered hatred and have not been able to divert their anger to the opposition ruling government. Our candidates can be that bridge for the division in the party – and without even listening to his messages at the various events, when you observe the tone, the rapt attention given to his story within business and politics, the audience reaction and admiration alone, you can say his track record is impressive.

It is hard to find words to capture the fact that the NPP is facing the most important question in our history – whether the organization will survive in its current form as we know it or if leadership is accelerating the party to another disaster. It is astonishing that in all the massive coverage of the electoral extravaganza, delegates have not been informed about the true cause of the last election defeat and why it maybe needful to change the flag bearer so as to avert another loss or impending disaster. I am at a loss to find appropriate words. One would have thought that the party hierarchy would disclose to the voters the true causes of our election defeat before we select our next leadership.

The deliberate attempt to keep the research report of true state of affairs until after elections proves only one point – that the poor performance was due to the candidature and our style of governance where too much was centralized, and the grass root was undermined.

The success of the past was based on insecurity, intimidation of party faithful, and people pleasing a few people at the top to be able to keep their jobs at all cost. Many of the government appointees, and party leaders who contributed to the intimidation and the selection of the past candidate are not particularly happy about our electoral outcome or results.

We rather crush landed into a huge voter apathy and leadership crisis. That approach must be changed for the future, people pleasing only a few at the top has brought our party to its knees and produced a very bad electoral performance.

Unfortunately, many people are still in denial instead of forging a new deal with Dr. Bryan Acheampong so that we present to the country a stronger candidate with appeal to the youth and experience in security, intelligence, business, strategy and resources.

We are prosing to voters, a man who has been able to grow wealth whiles bringing about radical transformation in both the business sector and government sector. Today countries beyond Ghana are using his software for numerous banking and insurance transactions. We are talking about software solutions to South Africa, Liberia, Togo and Nigeria to name a few. We are talking about a man who operates the biggest hospitality property in Africa.

Dr. Bryan Acheampong offers steady work in the future, jobs for the youth – job security, infrastructure improvement and food security. The other options are not favourable, we have been served with loss of wages, loss of benefits in government, loss of dignity or hope for the future and loss of discipline in the party. With Dr. Bryan Acheampong we are assured of a return to government/Jubilee house, and many people will have worthwhile jobs to do.

A departure from the status quo is very needed. A major shift will help us win and win big in the general elections. It will show that we have done our homework well, we have listened to Ghanaians and have made the needed corrections. Thanks for your continued support and your attention.
