Associate President of the Ghana Watch Initiative, Dr Kwaku Adu Boahen, Kennedy Agyapong’s focus on jobs is the reason many NPP delegates are rallying behind him.
According to him, unemployment has become a major concern for Ghanaians.
“We have about 1.3 million graduates without jobs, and it is becoming a national security issue,” he said in an interview on TV3
Adu Boahen noted that Agyapong’s message connects directly with this challenge.
“He is talking about creating jobs. That message resonates with delegates,” he explained.
He said Agyapong has identified practical solutions across the country.
“In every district he has visited, he has identified something we can do to support people,” Adu Boahen stated.
He described Agyapong as someone with a proven record. “Ken is a doer. He has a track record. He has created jobs through about 16 companies,” he said.
Adu Boahen added that Agyapong’s industrial experience gives him credibility.
“He has done these things in the past, so he knows how to do them again,” he said.
Confident about the outcome, Adu Boahen made a clear prediction.
“By January 31, Ken Agyapong will be the new flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party,” he declared.
