Parliament of Ghana has officially announced the launch of the second edition of the Democracy Cup, set to take place in just eight days. The event will be held on Wednesday, July 24, 2025, at 3:00 PM at the Justice D.F. Annan Auditorium within Parliament House.
This year’s edition promises to build on the success of the inaugural event, using football as a tool to promote national unity, youth engagement, and the celebration of Ghana’s democratic gains. The Democracy Cup has become a symbolic event linking governance, sports, and civic participation.
The countdown to the launch has already begun, with event organizers inviting the public and stakeholders to follow the excitement across official platforms using #GhanaDemocracy, @DemocracyCup, and @_democracycup.
As Parliament deepens efforts to connect with the youth and the wider public through sport, the Democracy Cup continues to serve as a reminder of the power of democracy and collective national pride.
