Hearts of Oak defender Caleb Amankwah has called on the teaming fans to remember the team in prayers as they seek to make an impact in the ongoing campaign.
The rainbow boys are back to winning ways after defeating Asante Kotoko in matchday 20 of the Ghana Premier League on Sunday, a game that served as the President Cup as well.
Konadu Yiadom’s strike at the 57th-minute mark ensured the Phobians wins the bragging right over the Porcupine Warriors.
Prior to the game, the Phobians had suffered back-to-back defeats to Aduana Stars and Great Olympics respectively.
In an interview, the former WAFA and Aduana Stars marksman entreated Hearts of Oak fans to pray for the club to achieve success.
“The fans should pray behind us so we can achieve our aim,” he said.
The Phobians will travel to Bibiani to face Goldstars on matchday 21 of the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.
Hearts of Oak are 5th on the league table with 31 points after 20 matches into the campaign.
