Today, July 19th, 2024, Ghana is set to experience varied weather conditions with rain and thunderstorms expected in several regions. Here’s a detailed forecast:

Southern Ghana: Accra and its surrounding areas will witness light to moderate rain showers throughout the day, with temperatures ranging from 23°C to 27°C. Similar weather conditions are expected in Ada, Akim Oda, Akuse, and Axim, where residents should prepare for light rain and temperatures in the mid-20s to high-20s Celsius.

Northern Ghana: Northern regions, including Tamale, Bolgatanga, and Wa, will experience thunderstorms. These storms may disrupt daily activities and transportation. Residents are advised to stay indoors during heavy downpours and be cautious of potential flooding and lightning strikes.

Central Ghana: Kumasi and Sunyani will also see light to moderate rain. Temperatures in these areas will hover around 29°C during the day, dropping to 22°C at night. The rainfall is expected to bring some relief from the usual tropical heat.

Western Coastal Areas: Takoradi and surrounding coastal regions will experience light rain, with temperatures staying between 23°C and 28°C. This cooler climate compared to the usual heat will be a respite for many.

Eastern Ghana: Koforidua and Ho will see scattered thunderstorms with temperatures ranging from 24°C to 28°C. The rainfall may cause temporary disruptions, so residents are advised to plan accordingly.

“Ghana is currently experiencing typical rainy season weather, with varying intensities of rain and thunderstorms across different regions,” said a meteorologist from the Ghana Meteorological Agency. “We advise everyone to stay updated with real-time weather information for any sudden changes.”

For the latest updates and detailed forecasts, please refer to weather apps and the Ghana Meteorological Agency’s website. Stay safe and take necessary precautions during this rainy season.
