The Assembly members of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) have confirmed President Nana Akufo Addo’s nomination of Sam Pyne as Metropolitan Chief Executive of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly.
At an election held at Prempeh Assembly Hall, the nominee secured a comfortable confirmation.
A total of 60 assembly members were expected to turn up for the election, however, due to ill health two of the members could not make it.
After counting of ballot papers, the nominee secured 55 YES votes, while 3 persons voted NO.
Meanwhile, the President’s nominee for the Asokore-Mampong Municipal assembly Kennedy Kwabena Kankam has also been confirmed by the Assembly members for the various electoral areas in Asokore Mampong municipal.
