The US Ambassador to Ghana, Virginia Palmer, has commended the Ga Mantse, Nii Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, for his outstanding leadership qualities.
During a courtesy visit to the Ga Traditional Council in Accra last Friday, the US envoy praised the Ga Mantse for his efforts to promote unity and address chieftaincy issues within the Ga State.
Ambassador Palmer highlighted the Ga Mantse’s dedication to girl-child development and leadership, noting his initiatives to enroll more girls in formal education and vocational training.
“The Ga Mantse’s commitment to girl-child development and leadership is truly commendable,” she said.
The renovation of King Tackie Tawiah Senior High School, a project spearheaded by Nii Teiko Tsuru, was cited as a prime example of his dedication to education.
The Ga Mantse recently unveiled the refurbished King Tackie Tawiah 1 Cluster of Schools in Adabraka, Accra, established in memory of his late grandfather.
During the visit, Nii Teiko Tsuru II appealed for support from the United States to assist the Ga State with waste management resources and expertise, a campaign he is actively pursuing. He expressed gratitude to Ambassador Palmer and her team, stating that their visit would further strengthen the cordial relationship between the two entities.
