A disease outbreak is looming as a bed bug infestation has plagued Okuapeman Senior High School, popularly known as OKUAS, in the Eastern Region.
Hot 93.9 FM and Hotfmghana can confirm that the infestation of these bugs has resulted in students sleeping outside the dormitories. The most affected dormitory is DOKUA KWADADE
Speaking under strict anonymity, some students expressed desperation, threatening to leave the school if the authorities do not address the bed bug infestation.
According to them,” We are really suffering…we can’t sleep in the dormitory…the bed bugs are overpopulating each day …We now sleep outside…We are begging the Ghana Education Service and old students like Kwame Sefa Kayi to come to our aid”.
