King makers of the Offinso traditional area have unanimously nominated former CEO of GNPC Dr.Kofi Kodua Sarpong better known as Dr KK Sarpong as the successor of the late Paramount Chief of the area Nana Awiafe Akenten III
The respected Chief died on Saturday, October 2 2021 at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi where he was receiving treatment after falling ill.
The late offinsomanhene had been the occupant of the Wiafe Akenten traditional stool for 28 years being installed in November 1993.
However, at a traditional ceremony which was held Friday Morning, the Offinso Akyeamehe Nana Kwaku Wiafe Presented former CEO the GNPC Dr KK Sarpong as the newest Paramount Chief at the offinso traditional council.
Dr. KK Sarpong according to customs of the Offinso land is set to be sworn in at a colourful ceremony at a later date. The paramount chief of Offinso is the third in command in the Asante Kingdom.
