Board member of Accra Hearts of Oak football Club, Vincent Odotei-Sowah has made a staggering revelation that the Club under the current administration has been in better shape since it was established in 1911.
There has been an increase in tensions between large sections of the fan base and the club’s board members over the club’s direction for some time now
DR. Nyaho Tamakloe, Alhaji Akambi and the former MP of La Dade-kotopon have all come under fire for the club’s poor start to the season.
The cracks in the Phobians’ leadership relationship were clearly visible at the Accra Sports Stadium during the team’s most important game of the season when the Club’s NCC Chairman Elvis Herman Hesse Jr. confronted Vincent Odotei.
Reacting to the current misgivings in the Club in an interview on Hot 93.9FM’s focal sports show – hosted by Stonchist D’Blakk Soulja, Vincent Sowah Odotei without mincing words stated categorically that the Club is in better shape under their tenure since the inception of the Club in 1911.
He elaborated that the Accra-based football club has four pitches for training and is the highest-paying club in Ghana in terms of salary.
” Hearts Of Oak is the most successful team in Ghana, within the last two years, the club has won five out of the six trophies in the country….We are training on our Pitch. We have our own four pitches on the front, we are the highest-paying Club in terms of salary,” He said
“We have our football academy and would be the first football team to have a partnership with US-based CinCinnati Football Club.”he added
He was quick in saying that the only thing Hearts Of Oak had not won and rendered the current administration improper is not winning the CAF Confederation Cup .
