The maiden edition of Ghana Beauty Queens Awards took place on Friday, August 20,2021 at the La Royal Beach Hotel in Accra.
Ghana Beauty Queens awards, is aimed at bringing all the beauty queens from respective Beauty Pageants in Ghana under one umbrella to be awarded.
One of the most resplendent moments that characterized the much-publicised event was how celebrated broadcaster ,Nana Adwoa Annan of Atinka TV together with actor Achieva Evans eloquently emceed it.
Noted for their unique fashion sense, Nana Adwoa Annan’s beautiful African apparel was designed by Senam Stitches while Achieva Evans’ apparel was also designed by Tebill Wear. Their coordination with the audience and their self-confidence exceedingly depicted how prepared they were on the night.
Most patrons who spoke with Hotfmghana.com after the event showered praises on the duo for emceeing the event excellently. Overall, seventeen(17) beauty queens and individuals were awarded on the night. The awards were grouped in two(2) categories : Honouring and competitive.
Ghana’s Second Lady, Mrs Samira Bawumia, Winner of Miss Universe 2004 Menaye Donkor, Miss Ghana 2010 Stephanie Karikari, Mrs were some of the personalities who received honouring awards with Queen Amandie Comfort winning the Beauty Queen Of the Year award.
Other celebrities and dignitaries who also graced the occasion include award-winning sound engineer Appiah Dankwah better known as Appietus, former deputy Minister of Gender and Social protection Mrs Benita Okiti Duah and Deputy Minister of Lands and Natural Resources Hon Mireku Dugan
