The Parliamentary Candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for the Odododiodoo Constituency, Edwin Nii Lantey Vanderpuye, has been arrested by the police.
He has been taken to the Central Police Station.
TV3’s Komla Adom, who is in the Constituency to cover the December 7 elections, reported that the incumbent Member of Parliament was whisked away in connection with a shooting incident that occurred.
He had earlier indicated that the police attacked him in his hotel room.
He told journalists: “I have been attacked by Policemen in my hotel room. They threw tear gas into my room to force us to open the door by I won’t open the door to them.”
