Ghanaian businessman and Politician, Akwasi Addai Odike, has made an astonishing revelation that no reasonable person should belong to the opposition New Patriotic Party[NPP]
The Director of the National Signals Bureau (NSB), Kwabena Adu Boahene, was arrested at Kotoka International Airport upon his return from London, following revelations by Attorney General Dr. Dominic Ayine on Monday, March 24, that millions intended for a cyber defense system had been funneled into private accounts instead.
According to EOCO, Boahene and his associates orchestrated excess payments under the guise of government contracts, redirecting over GHS 39.4 million ($5.6 million) for personal use.
EOCO’s investigation has linked Boahene to multiple properties in Accra’s upscale Mayfair Estates, including. His arrest and the subsequent revelations had ignited a firestorm, casting a long shadow over the NPP, and forcing the nation to confront the uncomfortable truth about the erosion of trust and the insidious nature of corruption.
Reacting to this development as a panellist on Accra-based Hot 93.9FM’s ‘Hot Morning Drive’ show – hosted by Don Kwabena Prah, Akwasi Addai Odike indicated that no reasonable person should belong to the NPP.
According to the controversial politician, the NPP claims to seek the most honest individuals, yet it ostracizes those who attempt to expose corruption within the party.
