Celebrated dancehall artiste, Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr popularly known as Shatta Wale has stated that people should stop telling him to rent a new apartment for his mother, Madam Elsie Avemegah better known as Shatta Mama.
On February 28, 2022, Hotfmghana.com broke the news that Shatta Mama has appealed to the general public for support to pay her rent following her eviction by the landlady from the house Shatta Wale allegedly bought for her.
Shatta Mama narrated that the house was given to her “six years” ago and no one came until recently when a woman came to eject her with the motive that she owned the house but all efforts to reach Shatta Wale are yet to materialise .
Ever since the news surfaced in the public domain, Shatta Wale has received a hefty backlash from a section of the general public for refusing to rent a new apartment for his own biological mother.
According to them, they just can’t fathom why a whole Shatta Wale who claims to be the richest artiste in Ghana would subject his own mother into such a heinous situation.
But reacting to the cloying matter in a facebook live video sighted by Hotfmghana.com, Shatta Wale who looked overly peeved stated candidly that people should desist from telling him to rent a new place for his mother.
According to the self-acclaimed dancehall King,” I have dollars…I have money… for those who are saying I should go and rent a house for my mother…You people, have you checked your family issues before talking about mine?”.
The Overly peeved ‘Wumaame Twe” hitmaker added that,”Stop meddling in my family affairs”.
Shatta Wale together with his best friend Medikal are currently in the United States for their much-publicised DTB tour.
