The new COA Mixture from the COA Research and Manufacturing Company Ltd has received recognition from the government as an effective medicine for general wellbeing.
The product which was launched yesterday, October 20, 2020 is the upgraded formula of the former COA FS, which was taken off the market because it was tagged as contaminated by the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA).
Present at the launch was the Deputy Minister of Health and Member of Parliament for Weija-Gbawe constituency, Hon. Tina Gifty Naa Ayele Mensah who delivered a solidarity message to the CEO Professor Samuel Ato Duncan and the board of COA Research Manufacturing Company Ltd.
Hon Tina Mensah informed that the confirmed that the product has been tested the changes of the product were “based on the outcome of the extensive work and research carried out by the regulator, as far as the product is concerned.” She added that the company has not just improved its medicine, but has upgraded the factory by adding extensions and acquiring new equipment.
She congratulated the management of the company and the FDA for the appropriate handling of the situation. Hon Tina Mensah assured that the government is doing all they can to partner with and support herbal medicine, which is not just means of wellbeing for the citizens, but a source of employment for the youth and wealth creation.
Ending her solidarity message, she urged the management of COA Research and Manufacturing Company Ltd to strive for excellence; learn from their peers in the industry and push for international recognition.
