Ghana’s Black Queens faced a tough challenge, falling 4-0 to Japan in an international friendly at Go Go Kanazawa Stadium on July 13.

A red card for Portia Boakye in the 23rd minute left Ghana with ten players, allowing Japan to dominate. Goals from Tanaka, Maika Hamano, Aoba Fujino, and Riko Ueki sealed Japan’s victory.
The match was a vital warm-up for Japan before the Olympics, while Ghana assessed their readiness for the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
