One of the daughters of former President Jerry John Rawlings, Dr. Zenator Agyemang Rawlings has broken down in tears with a statement announcing the sudden demise of his father. In the statement posted on her personal Facebook wall a few minutes ago, the Korle Klotey legislature with all sadness indicated that her father died after a short illness.
According to her, the family is requesting privacy from the General public to plan the next line of action in this difficult time. Dr. Zenator Agyemang Rawling was unable to give details on the possible cause of his father’s death but she added that details of the funeral will be communicated to the general public in due course.
The entire family of Jerry John Rawlings are currently mourning, following the sudden demise of the former President. President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo, has declared seven days of national mourning with flags flying at half-mast.
Former President John Dramani Mahama has also called off his campaign in the Ashanti region, to mourn with the family of the late Jerry John Rawlings. Dr. Zenator Agyemang Rawlings sadly announced that his father died in the morning of Thursday November 11 2020. T
