President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has officially inaugurated the newly constructed School Junction to Motorway Road, a project aimed at boosting road connectivity and easing traffic congestion in the Greater Accra Region.

This vital road links School Junction on the Adjiriganor stretch to the Tema Motorway, offering significant relief to residents of East Legon, Ashaley Botwe, and nearby communities.

The initiative forms part of the government’s larger infrastructure development agenda, which seeks to improve transportation networks across the country.

By cutting down travel time and providing a smoother route, the new road is expected to enhance economic activities and improve the daily commute for motorists.

Speaking at the inauguration, Greater Accra Regional Minister Daniel Nii Kwartei Titus-Glover highlighted the importance of the project, emphasizing how road developments in the area, including the Borteyman Sports Complex and town roads, have transformed the region into a desirable residential hub.

He also noted the road’s potential to increase safety and reduce travel time for commuters from Ashaley Botwe, School Junction, Maijaw, and Borteyman.

Minister for Roads and Highways, Francis Asenso-Boakye, praised the project as a testament to the government’s dedication to improving accessibility and promoting economic growth. He acknowledged the challenges commuters previously faced due to poor road conditions and inadequate connections, which this project now resolves.

President Akufo-Addo expressed pride in fulfilling the government’s promises, underscoring that this new road is a tangible example of the administration’s commitment to delivering on its infrastructure goals. He urged Ghanaians to see this achievement as part of a broader effort to drive national development.
