The Asante Kotoko Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Nana Yaw Amponsah was present at the Group Stage Europa League match between Manchester United and FC Sheriff at Old Trafford.
Amponsah witnessed the Premier League side humiliate the Moldovan giants at Old Trafford on a Thursday evening.
Erik ten Hag’s side won the match with three goals and scored a clean shit, thanks to goals from Diogo Dalot, Marcus Rashford, and Cristiano Ronaldo.
The win was conspicuous to the Old Trafford team as it was a decider match on a Real Sociedad-away-match next week at the San Sebastian next Thursday afternoon.
However, the CEO of the Porcupine Warriors met and interacted with his club’s former midfielder Mudasiru Salifu before the game. The midfielder is on a loan transfer and is currently performing admirably well.
Formally, the old porcupine warrior, other Ghanaian players at his current club, Fc Sherrif Edmund Addo and Patrick Kpozo, in other feeds, won’t be present in the next stage of the Europa League competition.
The loan will expire in December, but there are reports that FC Sheriff could make the deal permanent after Mudasiru’s impressive performance.
Mudasifu has played 19 games in all competitions for Sheriff this season so far.
