Accra Hearts of Oak‘s goalkeeper Benjamin Asare has presented a new pair of Dominion-branded gloves to the youngest goalkeeper currently in the Ghana Premier League (GPL), 18-year-old Zulka Masawudu of Young Apostles FC
This gesture was made in support of young talent within the GPL, funded by a portion of his earnings from his recent national team call-up.
The 32-year-old shot-stopper earned his first call-up to the Black Stars following a string of impressive performances in the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season. Asare has kept 12 clean sheets in 18 appearances for Hearts of Oak.
Asare’s debut call-up came during a crucial period, as Ghana played a double-header in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, securing all six points with an emphatic eight goals scored across both matches. These victories propelled Ghana above Israel, which dropped two places in the rankings.
Although the Black Stars remain unchanged in the continental rankings, sitting 14th in Africa, coach Otto Addo will be looking to build on this momentum in upcoming internationals.
