Member of Parliament for Ahafo Ano South West, Elvis Osei Mensah Dapaah, has accused the District Chief Executive (DCE) of the area of refusing to release District Road Improvement Programme (DRIP) machines for development projects in the constituency.
Speaking in a one-on-one interview with Hot News, the MP said several ongoing projects in the area require the use of DRIP machinery, but access to the equipment has allegedly been denied by the DCE.
According to Mr Dapaah, repeated attempts to reach the DCE have been unsuccessful, claiming that his calls have gone unanswered and that information available to him suggests the machines will not be released to support projects he is involved in.
Despite the situation, the lawmaker assured residents that development work would not stall, indicating that he is prepared to use his personal resources to hire alternative machinery to complete the affected projects.
He stressed that his priority remains the timely completion of development initiatives in the constituency, regardless of the challenges being encountered.
