Finance Minister Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam is set to present the 2024 Mid-Year Budget Review in Parliament today.
This will mark Dr. Amin Adam’s inaugural budget presentation since he assumed office as Finance Minister in February 2024, fulfilling the requirements of Section 28 of the Public Financial Management Act, 2016 (Act 921).
The review aims to update Parliament on the implementation progress of the 2024 Budget, offering revised financial strategies and an updated economic outlook for Ghana.
A statement from the Ministry on July 22 highlighted that the review would encompass economic and fiscal performance for the first half of the year, including growth measures, revenue and expenditure performance, financing, and debt sustainability.
Additionally, Dr. Amin Adam will brief Parliament on the $3 billion IMF-supported Post-COVID-19 Programme for Economic Growth (PC-PEG).
